ONE_JOY:

With reviewing the assignment details for unit 1 through four they all have a discussion board and an individual project. Each individual project has a deliverable length of 8 to 10 pages not including the title page, table of contents, and references pages. These have a lot of research that has to take place in order to complete the paper. Each unit has a discussion board assignment and you are to make a main post each week, with the first post before Friday and two response post after Friday and before the end of the week. The questions I have on these discussion board posts are how early can we post to the discussion board, for instance we are on unit 2 in the first week, can we post to unit 3 and not loose points? The two response posts do they both actually have to be made after Friday? Example I make my initial post (which will be my main post) can I make a response on Thursday and my final on Friday as long as I have my three posts a week or do, we need to do the 2 responses after Friday for them to count?  I have found another question that I find hard to know the answer is in unit 2 individual project in the step 2 corporate social media in depth review, I had no clue that there are 8 or more social media channels and guess I am behind on this area. This is an area that I will struggle with because of not knowing about all the channels needed to complete this research topic, can anyone tell me some besides, twitter, snap chat, and Facebook?  When we are working on the individual projects and we go to the next unit can we use some of the same information into the next unit like say unit one has employee engagement strategies and unit two has employee relations can we use some of that information on employee engagement in employee relations should we feel it is relevant?

Those are the most important questions that I could come up with besides this one for my class mates, How do you use time management to accomplish your assignments? Do you set a certain time of day and a set amount of time to work on your assignments or do just work on it when you are not busy with other obligations?

TWO_JOD:

At this time I have no question about the assignments in units 1-4.  As I approach unit 5 I have read what is expected of me and I think that I can approach this unit without any foreseen questions.  The way that I intend to approach unit 5 individual project is early on.  Because of the extent of the project in my experience, I will be working on it during weeks 1-4.  I have been in situations where waiting unit the week of things can happen from illness to technical difficulties.  I will outline my project, create an Executive Summary.  I will research from both the internet and the AIU library, using the M.U.S.E and any other resources that AIU offers.  I will apply my finding to my project by using critical thinking skills and use my live chats and text books as my go to.

Good morning professor and classmates,

So far, I have no questions about the assignments for units 1-4. As for the unit 5 assignment, my first thought is to start gathering information. I plan to use any extra time I have to research the information that will be needed on the assignment. I also plan to use an outline to help me keep the information I find in order. I will use the outline as my guide in writing the submission due in unit 5. Even though the project is not due yet I think that getting an early start on the research aspect of it will keep me from being stressed or scrambling to get it done.  I also think that by getting started on the assignment early will give me extra time to check for any mistakes such as grammar and spelling.

Hello Class!

After looking at the assignments for units 1-4, I noticed they are quite different from the previous classes that I have taken. For the other classes we would have a discussion board, intellipath and a final project due for unit 5. I have noticed that this class requires more in depth research for each paper for each unit and I guess my question would be what is the reasoning behind all of the papers due? I think I may have an answer, but I am curious to know. Also, it seems as if for the units we are to compose research about the company given the instructions, but complete them in a human resources form from the information we find? For example, unit 3 we are to look at the DEF14A Annual Proxy statement for compensation etc, research other topics listed for other media and relations and then write about the results in according to the human resources posture?

So far, the unit assignments are self explanatory. Unit 5 seems to collect the other unit assignments and add an executive summary, table of contents, recommendations and expected impact sections. I have never done appendices, so I have to do some research about that. I know it is extra material on a subject, but too much to put in a paper. If I have any questions along the way, I will for sure contact the professor.

Now the DB I have a question. This is my third quarter of classes and I am just now understanding the instructions for DBs, but I do not understand the two substantive posts. Is it one post is the initial post to answer the questions and another one is post of reflection/summary of other classmates’ posts? Then also 4 response posts. I think I have an idea, but just making sure. I feel like every instructor is different, which is great, but just need some clarification.

This is also my first two classes without intellipath, which is odd, but it is not too bad! Good luck to everyone!
