You’ve received feedback on your research question and should have refined/revised if necessary. This week, you are submitting a carefully created list (APA formatted of course!) of references that you will use to write your project. Before you complete the assignment, make sure you have viewed “Evaluating Sources” (Links to an external site.) in the Excelsior College OWL. Reviewing this information will help you identify high quality information you can used to support your project.
Now, visit the Excelsior Library to research your question. For this assignment, you will submit:
Compose your work in a .doc or .docx file type using a word processor (such as Microsoft Word, etc.) and save it frequently to your computer. For those assignments that are not written essays and require uploading images or PowerPoint slides, please follow uploading guidelines provided by your instructor.

Social Media Ethics
In many cases why is it ethical to fire or punish employees for their posts on social media? There are some posts which even the society would not accept while there are other posts acceptable by society. For example, it would be ethical for an employer to punish an employee who makes a social media post that is against the ethics of the organization. For example, when an employee tweets something racist, then the employer has the ethical right to either punish or fire the employee because it is against the ethics of the company. However, it would be wrong if an employer fired someone for something ethical. For example, if an employee posts about the wrong things happening inside the organization, it is wrong for the employer to punish or fire him/her. This is because the employer is infringing on the freedom of speech of the employee.
