Issues that affect the human and social services profession and society often involve ethical considerations. For example, access to services may be dependent on meeting criteria that favor one group over another. Should this situation raise ethical concerns? If so, where do you find guidance on how to address the ethical issue? As an interdisciplinary field, many different codes of ethics may be applied to issues related to human services. Selecting the appropriate code depends on the nature of the issue, as well as on your position or role within human services. Along with the codes of ethics, Kitchener (1984) identified five core principles that can guide ethical decision making across disciplines. These core principles include autonomy, nonmaleficence, beneficence, justice, and fidelity. As a human and social services professional, you should keep these core principles in mind in your everyday work.
For this Discussion, you consider ethical concerns that may be associated with your Capstone Project issue.

A strategic plan refer to the document which contains organizational information such as organizational goals and objectives, the necessary tools and actions needed to achieve the goals and all the other vital elements developed while in planning exercise. When developing a strategic plan one should choose what to include in the plan depending on what you are trying to accomplish. In most case plans are driven by known issues in the community that needs to be addressed or instances where elected bodies needs to give directions (Neis et al, 2017). While others are initiated by staffs in their pursuit to maneuver how to prioritize conflicting needs.
For instance, United Nations (UN) organization is an international organization community. United Nations serves to preserve and enhance international peace and security among member states. The reason why I choose United Nation is because of the new core focus and the role of United Nations peace keeping operation. Moreover, these new doctrines focus to contribute on understanding of UN peace keeping. The peacekeeping doctrines describe UN operations as security and political based with an essential role in enhancing overall coordination and coherence. Advocacy is essential strategy in achieving international development programming change. Therefore, numerous aid agencies involve the process of designing and implementing advocacy programs to influence political programs and policy decisions, political climate, resource allocation, public agenda, and social practice and norms (Aoi et al 2017).
Use of advocacy in strategic plans helps in enlarging the base of support, connections and networks. In addition, it gives credit in numbers such that you can achieve a lot together than when you are alone. Advocacy helps people in understanding your opinions and point of view by ensuring information is delivered in an understandable manner. It also helps one in making choices on what to do and consider other available services. Advocacy gives a room for one to express their views effectively.
