Papers are to be no longer than 10 typed pages, double spaced, with one inch margins and font size no smaller than Times Roman 12 pt. • A minimum of five references should be consulted – no more than 1 can be Wikipedia or other such sites. You must be careful to properly cite these and attribute ideas to the appropriate sources. • I am not concerned about whether you use footnotes or endnotes so long as you are consistent. References can be listed on a separate reference page or in footnotes/endnotes so long as you do so consistently. • A model for the type of paper I am looking for is the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco Economic Letter – don’t worry I do not expect your papers to be of the same quality as ones written by the San Francisco Fed research staff. http://www.frbsf.org/economic- research/publications/economic-letter/#2013 Suggested sources for readings/references on your topics: • Fed in print: http://www.frbsf.org/publications/fedinprint/index.html • Knowledge at Wharton: http://knowledge.wharton.upenn.edu/ • Social science research network: http://www.ssrn.com/ • Econ lit – http://libguides.uakron.edu/economics_databases • Lexis/Nexis — http://www.lexisnexis.com/hottopics/lnacademic/ (may need to access through University of Akron Libraries page) • Financial websites and magazines such as: The Wall Street Journal; New York Times; The Economist; The Financial Times; etc.
