Now that you’ve read the chapter on Crime and Corrections Policy, how would you characterize the approaches the state of Texas uses to deal with the interrelated policy issues of of crime and corrections? What do you think is good about these systems and approaches, and what could use reform? Be specific with both. What specific problems or general trends (economic, social, drug addiction, etc.) do you think will challenge how Texas deals with these policies in the future?
