Overview: Journal activities in this course are private between the student and the instructor. In these journal assignments, you will have the opportunity to
practice analyzing patient assessment data and assessing appropriate strategies to increase the health literacy of the patient. Be sure to address all elements
of each journal prompt.
Prompt: After completing the Shadow Health modules on the respiratory and cardiovascular systems, choose one abnormal finding in your patient’s assessment.
Within your writing address the following:
1. Discuss the assessment finding and potential health risks associated with it.
2. Identify a Healthy People 2030 Topic and Objective for potential health promotion topic to decrease the identified risk. Also, discuss a potential patient
education resource and its readability to use for health promotion of that topic and objective.
3. Describe how you will assess the health literacy of the patient on the health promotion topic and objective.
