My topic is the current Black Lives Matter Movement in relation to corporations and whether or not these businesses are just capitalizing or really support the movement. Both articles go into detail in defining political activism and consumer activism. This is useful to my topic because it provides insight on why businesses would need to pander to particular demographics regarding political and social topics. ‘Political Consumerism, Transitional Blackness and the Black Star Line” gives a historical background of political consumerism within the black community. This gives reasoning as to why companies that have seemingly ignored the plight of Black Americans for the last century, are now boldly proclaiming that black lives matter when topics as such have always been taboo. The article “Is Political Activism the New Black?” offers the consumers viewpoint and how they feel about companies that take strong political stances. Again, this gives justification of whether or not these businesses are doing so in order to secure the spending power of whatever demographic they are trying to entice.

Topic: The coronavirus pandemic has change education worldwide for our youth now where do they go from here.
I have chosen these to articles because they both touch basis with their education and the life span of the virus. Article, “Economic Education Challenges During Coronavirus Pandemic,” talks about how we all need to come together to stop this so the children can get back to their education and get the proper learning they need. My second one, ” Covid-19 through the eye of children and mothers,” is talking about how the child and their mothers are trying to adjust to the new means but there are some that have a difficult time helping there children. I believe these articles can in light us more because if we come together and figure this thing out it might go away and so many people are concern what’s gone happen next. The main thing is that both articles talk about education for our youth. These parents can not only stay right there to make sure the work is done but some are having to either change their job schedules, find someone to stay home with the child so that the work get done, and some even have to give up their jobs. This change has effect all of us but what about those that have no control over their own lives.
