Americans, in the abstract, are supportive of the idea of third parties yet no one seems to want to vote for them rendering modern third parties largely powerless. Is it just a matter of Constitutional and institutional rules or is it more than that? What changes are necessary for third parties to come about? Is it a matter of education or mobilization?
